  • Gestational surrogacy uses in vitro fertilization (IVF) to create embryos using eggs and sperm selected by the intended parent(s). Once the embryos are created, they are implanted into the surrogate’s uterus, where she carries the pregnancy until delivery.
Unlike traditional surrogacy, in which the surrogate is the biological mother of the child, the gestational surrogate has no genetic connection to the baby.

  • In surrogacy, an escrow account is used to safeguard the money set aside for the surrogate’s compensation and related expenses. At the beginning of the surrogacy process, the intended parents place the agreed amount into the escrow account. These funds cover the surrogate’s payment and any other approved costs throughout the journey.

Using an escrow account offers reassurance to everyone involved. It guarantees that the surrogate’s compensation is securely set aside in advance, and it ensures the intended parents that funds will only be released according to the terms outlined in the legal agreement.

  • Surrogacy laws differ greatly from state to state. While some states fully support and legalize surrogacy agreements and practices, others place limitations on the process or prohibit it altogether.

To ensure a smooth and legally compliant experience, we only accept surrogates who reside in states where surrogacy is clearly allowed or permitted with certain precautions.
